Careers

There are currently nearly 66,000 people employed by the UK nuclear industry. Jobs in this sector are often long-term, rewarding and highly skilled. Recruitment is one of our priorities as we build the organisation ready for power station construction and operation.

Job opportunities
Once our projects at the Wylfa Newydd and Oldbury-on-Severn sites are approved, we expect to create up to 850 permanent jobs per station.

There will also be requirements for a construction workforce of around 4,000 workers for the majority of the time, with between 8,000 and 10,000 workers during peak periods at each site.

We will require nuclear specialists in safety, licensing, radiology and design. We will also need project and site development engineers as well as construction workers, support services and local liaison staff.
